Tenby Cheer and Dance is a competitive cheer and dance team based in West Wales. Open to beginners and experienced, ages 3-14yrs.
What we do
Bases, flyers and spotters working as one unit. Taught in stages on matted floors — nobody goes up until they're ready.
Full routines set to music. Sharp motions, jumps and choreography that has to land together on every count.
Rolls and cartwheels through to walkovers and handsprings. Everyone starts where they are, spotted the whole way.
Performing in front of a crowd changes children. The quiet ones find a voice, and it follows them into school.
You rely on your squad in every single stunt. Most athletes arrive knowing nobody and leave with a team.
Squads work towards competition through Cheersport Wales — a proper season, a routine to own, something to aim at.
About us
Tenby Cheer and Dance is part of the Suzanne Scale Performing Arts School, established in Cardiff in 2005. Suzanne and Ava moved to Tenby in 2017, and are now bringing cheer and dance to Pembrokeshire.
Suzanne has run a theatre school in Cardiff since 2005 and a cheerleading team since 2010. That Cardiff squad — Cheerstars — went on to win a string of awards at British cheerleading competitions.
We pride ourselves on high quality tuition and real performance experience: making children more confident and happier individuals, while opening up plenty of opportunities for budding stars.

Coach
Suzanne has 25+ years of teaching experience, including 10+ years of coaching cheerleading up to level 3. She is a qualified British Cheerleading Association (BCA) coach and a registered dance teacher with the British Ballet Organisation (BBO). Suzanne has extensive experience with ALN children and is fluent in British Sign Language.
Coach
Ava is a qualified British Cheerleading Association (BCA) coach. She is currently competing in national cheerleading competitions, and has been a dancer and cheerleader all her life. Ava has many years of experience assisting in primary schools, coaching cheer classes and teaching dance, and is currently working towards further teaching qualifications.
